Howdy travelers! You might have noticed that the website changed a bit. That's mostly because I tried viewing it in NetSurf, a lightweight web browser that doesn't support CSS3.
And don't you know, it was almost completely unstyled!
The little tweaks that count
Now the site displays properly on it (and other non-mainstream browsers as well). I needed to:
- Use color values directly instead of CSS variables.
- Close the <p> tag in the header.
- Ditch the slanted title effect for which I abused pseudoelements a bit.
I also did a quick simplification pass, that's why the text is a tiny bit smaller and margins are different. The site may change a bit, for example I don't know whether to bring back the favicon.
What's next?
For once, I prepared a list of subjects to cover on this blog. I'm trying to make them not too technical because the world doesn't need yet another programming blog and my free time doesn't need to imitate my day job.
Here they are:
- Dreams, lucid or not, their impact on writing stories, reality tests etc.
- Space exploration games (specifically Kerbal Space Program or Kitten Space Agency), or more generally space exploration in real life.
- My note taking system and how it came to be.
- What happens when you try to stay with an "Anarchy" government as long as possible in a Civilization-like game. Maybe, limited playthroughs in general.
- Stop-motion animation.
- Chess variants.
- The Bronze Age being an underrated period of history.
- My game projects. This is the main exception to the tech topics.
They will probably stay in my drafts folder for a while, or even forever. To read more about them, well, see ya in the next one!
