Stop! This sketch is too silly! — A british general, at the end of many Monthy Python sketches
I'm a programmer by day (and a game programmer outside of work), so naturally, because of "write what you know", I tend to talk a lot about tech here.
However, in order to not become insane, I will now try to talk less about tech and more about other things.
Stop! This blog post is too technical! — Me, dressed as a british general, in the case of some of my article drafts
It doesn't help that I write my blog posts directly in HTML. Maybe I should switch to a more indirect writing system (but then I would need to run a command! Tech strikes again.) The logical conclusion: write my thoughts on paper and mail random people instead.
But a web log is still a good idea. I'll do my best here… right now.
And now for something completely different!
How to walk
for more than one hour at a time
I'm starting to walk a bit more often and longer recently.
From what I understand: (these are NOT pro tips, I'm not a professional walker, whatever that means)
- Regularly rest, drink, and eat for long trips
- Mind the weather (like, try not to walk outside when it's raining a lot)
- Have good shoes, or go barefoot but people will give you a funny look
- After 1 hour and a half, I start to have blisters, maybe they will not appear until later after some practice?
If you walk regularly for more than two hours at a time, let's get in touch so that I may receive your wisdom. My contact info is on my home page. Or let's meet physically, but in a radius of 10 kilometers around where I am. Thank you.
Actually, don't. I can just check advice online.
